rizona Commercial Photographer, John Trotto, learned his craft with film, Polaroids and precise lighting to render the perfect piece of film. For more than 2 decades he developed his skills for photographing many different subjects. Trotto's first clients were resorts and developers. Their diverse needs required him to photograph people, architecture, product (food) and landscapes (golf courses). Each requiring their own unique skills and lighting.

Photoshop

I

n 2002 John went completely digital. With the power of Photoshop he added retouching, compositing and layered shooting to his lighting mastery. An example of this professional, commercial, photography technique can be seen in the architectural photograph of MidFirst Bank in Phoenix, AZ. It is a composite of 16 photographs shot on two different evenings.

The digital work flow enables Trotto to have the fastest turnaround time for any project.

Video

J

ohn is forever searching for ways to make his images have more impact. Why not add sound, music and motion? In June of 2007 Trotto began his training to provide video production in Arizona (video gallery). In the summer of 2008 he is ready to provide HD footage, non-linear editing with Final Cut Studio 2, and output for the web, DVD or B-roll footage for commercials. Just as Trotto's photography is all digital, his video work flow is also digital. Through P2 technology (a huge memory card) he is able to record without using tape, transfer the digital files directly into his non-linear editing system and begin editing immediately.
