I have been totally pleased with what Adobe has done up to CS6. I own the Production Premium for photography and video. Updates in the last 2 years have been significant like the content aware delete tool in Photoshop or the many enhancements made in Premiere Pro and Audition. Now with the Creative Cloud I feel like I will be locked in to monthly payments which will end up costing me more each year than I have paid in the past. The introductory rate for CS6 users is $19.95/month. After one year I’ll be paying $49.95/month or $600/year. I have no need for Illustrator, In Design, and a few other apps. I don’t have the time or desire to share images with the world using Behance. I don’t want constant upgrades of my software because it takes time to learn the new tools. If an upgrade is significant, I need to pick the time for the upgrade so that I have enough down-time to learn the new processes. You shouldn’t change your software in the middle of a large project especially if you are sharing the work with a colleague.
